HAB’s first project, this is a small site tucked away in suburban Swindon. The Triangle provides a contemporary take on the city’s Victorian railway heritage with its refreshed version of the much-loved train workers cottages. Developed in partnership with the GreenSquare Group.


The HAB homes at the Triangle are bigger than normal and enjoy a sense of generosity and space, benefiting from abundant natural light.

The scheme won a range of awards for green infrastructure, landscape, sustainability and design including a RIBA National Award. Oh, and we love the chimneys, or, more accurately roof cowls. Practically, they aid ventilation in our homes but they also hark back to the Brunel era originals.


The scheme, which was designed by Glenn Howells Architects with the original and exceptional landscape design by Studio Engleback, is packed with community facilities including a car club and communal kitchen gardens.

There is a multi-functional Village Green which acts as a child-friendly green oasis, with a village water pump to encourage kids to play, help with gardening and generally get wet and splosh around.

Just a 15 minute bike ride to the chi-chi watering holes of Swindon Old Town and a quick drive (borrowed from the onsite car club of course) to the nearby, rolling Wessex Downs.
